The Hidden Overlook is the quintessential coastal A-Frame tucked away on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and nestled in amongst a forest of pines. This home can be found just south of the village of Yachats where woodland hikes, panoramic ocean views and fresh air are in no short supply.

The cliffside views of the ever-changing ocean are mesmerizing from this 3 bedroom home that sleeps up to 8. The open concept living area has large windows facing the sea. The wood paneled walls, soaring wood beamed ceiling and rock fireplace will make you feel close to nature. Cozy up to the wood burning fireplace during a winter squall and enjoy watching the moods of the ocean (a starter bundle of wood is available for $10 if we are notified prior to check-in). Open to the living room is a full kitchen ready to help make some memorable meals and a large dining table to gather around. On each side of the living area is a bedroom with an ensuite bath and king bed. Each bedroom has a sliding glass door with access to the ocean front deck. A spiral staircase leads to a lofted bedroom with a king bed (that can be split into two twins with prior notice) and a sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa and television. The loft is at the apex of the A-Frame with views of the ocean and access to a deck off the back of the house. The Hidden Overlook features many cool maritime touches throughout the home.

The Hidden Overlook has multiple decks to relax on while enjoying the stunning ocean vistas, listening to the ocean and the quiet surroundings, and to appreciate an evening of crystal-clear stargazing. It is the perfect place to unwind and disconnect. Make memories with your family, even a traveling pup or two, while playing, eating, and discovering your surroundings. One of the best parts of staying at this property is the chance to explore one of Oregon coast's diverse and scenic regions. Located between Yachats and Florence, this area includes Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, Heceta Head State Park and Lighthouse, the Sea Lion Caves, and many roadside scenic viewpoints. This is a spectacular part of the Oregon coast, and this home is a unique, natural, and charming way to fully immerse yourself in the beauty that you will find here. Beach access has been washed away. The closest access is at Ocean Beach Park just south of the house.
-Please note: To park at the house an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle is necessary to navigate the incline and loose gravel. Parking for one vehicle can be accomodated at the top of the road on the highway -please do not block mailboxes.

This beach A-frame is absolutely beautiful. It’s an older home, but that gave it a lot of fun, vintage charm. The open floor plan was great for a small group. The beds were really comfy with lots of pillows and blankets. It was really nice having a private bath attached to each lower bedroom. The property itself has unbeatable views and we loved that each bedroom had its own access to the outside. It’s also nice and tucked away and private. It was lovely having the door open to hear the ocean at night. The kitchen was also fully stocked with everything you needed and plenty of glassware and dishes. The home doesn’t have direct beach access, but it’s a very quick walk to get to the beach. It’s on a lovely strip that had very few people on it. Our group stayed over Daylight savings, and the host was very kind and allowed us an extra hour on checkout for the time change.

This home had the unique combination of comfort and luxury at the same time. We kept the door to the deck open so we could hear the waves and enjoy a comfy fire at the same time. We had a great time staying right on the ocean in Florence! The view alone made the trip worth it — waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunset from the deck was pure relaxation. The stars at night were epic. The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s close to the dunes and just a short drive into town, so we were able to explore local restaurants, shops. The property manager was friendly and easy to communicate with, and everything went smoothly from check-in to checkout. They were prompt with bring us a new coffee carafe within an hour once we noticed it was missing. Thank you! We had a great stay at the house, the view is unbeatable, the location is great. Perfect location for the off the grid vacation. The host was communicating in advance about everything we needed to know - how to find the property, how to get into the house. The rules were clearly stated. The kitchen is equipped with everything for the indoor cooking and dining, which was convenient as we had breakfasts inside the house. I can’t say enough good things about this property—if anything, the listing undersells it. I was looking for a quiet retreat after a long few months at work, a place to read, reflect, and truly unwind, and this house delivered in every way. The main living room is incredible—the furniture and layout are perfect, and the wood-burning fireplace became the heart of my stay. I had a fire going from arrival to checkout, and I’d highly recommend bringing plenty of firewood (I went through about 12 bundles over three nights). The views are stunning, and the house feels wonderfully secluded. While there’s one neighboring property down a hill, you hardly notice it. Sitting on the deck overlooking the Pacific is something I could do all day. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with high-quality bedding that made for a great night’s sleep.

The house is well appointed and has 180 degree view of the coast and beautiful beach dotted with rocks and sea life. Walks are nearby and plenty of adventures both north and south of the house. Listening to the sound of waves at night was very soothing. Great place!

The stay was absolute bliss. They had kitchen utensils to use and everything we may need. Great scenery and enough room for multiple guests. There is also a lot to do near by. The only thing i would note is that the driveway is pretty steep and rocky. We ended up parking on the street before the entrance because getting our passenger van up the driveway was tricky. I 10/10 recommend booking if you enjoy beautiful sunsets and fun activities.

Stunning location and views, retro seventies nautical aesthetic. Stocked w games and entertainment, cozy large beds. Would be perfect for multiple guests/couples as the three bedrooms are spacious and far away enough from each other to still have privacy. Bring wood with you if you want a fire. Four wheel drive was def helpful for driveway. Close to Heceta Head and Sea Lion Caves and other trails. Plan to stay in and cook (well-stocked kitchen), it’s a little ways to town - which is great if you want a truly mellow escape like we did.

I rented this gem of a home to celebrate my elderly parents' birthdays, with my out-of-state brother and adult nephew, and my chihuahua-mix dog joining us. The location of this home is phenomenal, with a panoramic ocean view! All of the information is provided ahead of time, making the self-check-in process easy! There is just one step up from the carport, making it perfect for my folks! The home is beautiful, well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. It's wonderful to have two master-bedroom suites! All of the bedding and towels are ample and of quality. The kitchen is well-stocked with quality cookware. The fireplace is AWESOME - just make sure to NOT touch the glass door handle - it gets HOT!!! There is a nice little area to the side of the home for my dog to do her duties. The home is isolated, and you do need WiFi Calling turned on in order to use your cellphone, but a landline is available in the home. Additionally, the warning about needing AWD or 4WD is no joke - my nephew had to put his truck into 4WD in order to get up the driveway after a day of rain. However, my AWD XT5 handled the steep, gravel driveway like a trooper! Everything about our three nights was PERFECT, and all five of us DEFINITELY want to come back!!! This is an exceptional home in a perfect, secluded location. Two master suites make it perfect for two couples, plus there is added space upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped, which is perfect - due to the location, you may choose to eat in. The sunsets are divine and the deck is delightful. Take the advice and have a four wheel drive vehicle - you'll be glad you did! We had one plumbing problem late on a Sunday and someone came promptly to take care of it!

Our stay was wonderful! The view of the ocean from the house and deck is unobstructed and the space is thoughtfully designed and comfortable. We stayed during a particularly rainy few days and it was the perfect cozy place to put on a record, sit by the fire, and watch the waves. We traveled with our dog and it was a very quick drive to the beach park to the south (we also walked one early morning when traffic was light; the only way via foot is on the side of highway 101). The beach park is a great spot, not too crowded but plenty of beach and rocks for agate hunting. The space doesn't have new appliances, finishes, etc. but it is packed with charm and the host has provided a plethora of interesting books and games. We had a lot of fun staying here and would definitely stay again!
